Volunteer Club History: I began the Volunteer Club during the 2007-08 school year. After initially calling it the Citizenship Club, we changed the name so it would be more clear what the club was designed to do. Each year the club had 40-50 student participants, and a handful of staff volunteers.
Mission: When I was in 8th grade, I slept overnight in a Chicago homeless shelter with a church group. The experience completely opened my eyes to how other people lived. I hope this club will not only benefit people in the Milwaukee area, but will help students gain a new perspective on life.
The Basics: Students are allowed to sign up for any event they would like to attend. Over the past two years, some students have gone to all the events, some have attended just one. For more information about a specific event, read the details in the event description.
